42 Km Film is a Production Company based in Romania, set up in 2004. Its first autonomous production was the feature film 12:08 East of Bucharest , written and directed by Corneliu Porumboiu. The film won the Camera D’Or prize at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and Label Cinema Europe, as well as other numerous national and international prizes. It was sold in over 30 countries by our international sales agent The Coproduction Office. 42 Km Film was born from the desire of making independent film, and its aim is to sustain projects which follow this direction.
